Harry Potter section

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (2001)

80%. The acting quality isn't good and it doesn't include as much action and adventure as the next Harry Potter movies but a nice enought start to the saga.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

66%.It's really boring in parts and still isn't that adventorous, unlike the next ones.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

95%. Loads better than the first two; really gets the dark atmosphere the Harry Potter world needs and acting quality is very good. Never boring.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

85%. Really starts to get dark and the Triwizard Tournament settings are really good but doesn't quite beat the third movie.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)

90%. A really well thought out movie with great actors but includes too much romance and teenage atmosphere.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (2009)

92%. So dark, so adventurous, really kicks off the atmosphere the saga needs as Harry starts his quest to hunt for Horcruxes.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2010)

86%. A lot of scenes are really good whereas in many, it's just Harry, Ron and Hermionie talking, walking and arguing.

Harrry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011)

98%. An epic conclusion with the epic battle. Great end to the saga. Not one bit of it is boring or irrelevant.

Fantastic Beasts section

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

75%. Explores different areas of Harry Potter and has a lot of battles but doesn't have the same charcters or atmosphere which isn't great

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

77%. Has more Harry Potter atmosphere (includes Mc Gonagall and Dumbledore) and is much darker than the first film but doesn't include much battle at all and is far too complicated.

Star Wars Section

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)

65%. The movie is irrelevant and silly despite a good lightsaber fight near the end. Jar Jar Binks in particular is very annoying.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)

55%. This movie is relevant and even meaningful in parts and it cuts down on Jar Jar but it's far too romantic between Anakin and Padme.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)

18%. This movie is really irrelevant and doesn't explain the Clone Wars - it only explains a few key battles in it and the plot isn't well thought out.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)

92%. This movie is the best prequel in my opinion as it is relevant from start to finish and has some really cool fights and quotes and links the prequel and original trilogies together.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)

66%. It explains how Han Solo won the Millenium Falcon from Lando and met Chewbacca but other than that really doesn't feel like Star Wars and is very complicated

Rouge One: A Star Wars Story (2016)

82%. It doesn't go into character detail much but it is definitely key on explaining how the Rebellion got to destroy the Death Star in A New Hope. Really slow paced at the start but gets better after the first hour. Darth Vader scene at the end is top notch.

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)

90%. It is a faboulous start to Star Wars despite feeling old fashioned.

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

97%. It is widely and rightly thought as the best movie of all time. It introduces so much to Star Wars and might have the best plot of all time.

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)

95%. Great end to the original trilogy.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)

89%. This movie is OK; it introduces new characters and leaves loads of unanswered questions but resembles A New Hope too much.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)

63%. This movie is good in places but the whole Finn/Rose plot is irrelevant and I don't like how they changed Luke Skywalker's personality. Also, it pushes you even further away from the questions of this trilogy

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

89%. This movie answers the majority of questions and in my opinion is a great end to the Skywalker saga but should have been split into two parts as it feels very rushed.

The Hunger Games section

The Hunger Games (2012)

90%. Great start to the Hunger Games saga and it all looks very realistic

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)

94%. Makes eveything from the first film look 10x better and the clock arena setting is fantastic in particular

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (2014)

77%. Fantastic song in the middle but other than that, a mostly irrelevant movie that feels very dark

The Hunger Games: mockingjay Part 2 (2015)

79%. It's OK but the battle isn't overly good or anything. Really average in most parts

The Pixar movies section

Toy Story (1995)

92%. The first movie to use CGI. A great movie and start to Pixar too.

A Bugs Life (1998)

76%. Unfortunately, it's childish and hard to remember.

Toy Story 2 (1999)

90%. Not as good as Toy Story but still a good and meaningful movie all the same.

Monsters Inc. (2001)

91%. Pixar keeps coming up with new ideas as it proves in this movie. A great movie for kids about the monsters they dream about.

95%. Very good movie about fish which is funny.

The Incredibles (2004)

94%. Good Pixar movie; good plot; good villan.

Cars (2006)

90%. Good imagination follows this movie but doesn't feel nearly as well developed as other previous Pixar movies.

Ratatouille (2007)

91%. Good movie about rats cooking. Altough the main charater who is a rat in this movie makes great food, it makes me less comfortable about rats and unfortunately, I was born anything but a good cook so can't feel the impact from this movie.

Wall-E. (2008)

94%. The main character is soooooo cute and as a young person passionate for the enivronment, it shows me how the world could get into a really bad state in 700 years.

Up (2009)

90%. An OK movie overall but between the 10-30 minute point, it's very dull.

Toy Story 3 (2010)

96%. So good with moving parts about growing up and as good as the original.

Cars 2 (2011)

24%. Has nothing in common with the first Cars movie and focuses on Mater far too much. Definitely the worst Pixar movie.

Brave (2012)

79%. Nice atmosphere but the plot is weird.

Monsters University (2013)

77%. It's OK, slightly below average but it obviously didn't want to aim high. i would have preferred a sequel to Monsters Inc., not a prequel but that's what it is. A safe Pixar movie.

Inside Out (2015)

91%. Very good imagination about childrens emotions and shows that it's okay to be sad. Best Pixar movie in five years (best since Toy Story 3)

The Good Dinasour (2015)

66%. The hero is so idiotic and such a coward. He is the wrong protagonist. But the atmosphere is good.

Finding Dory (2016)

84%. OK but not as good as Finding Nemo. It is in some ways a bit too like Finding Nemo.

Cars 3 (2017)

80%. The better sequel. Cars 2 should have never happened but this should have been the actual Cars 2. The preferred sequel but still not quite as good as the 2006 Cars.

Coco (2017)

91%. A complicated film but a good one too.

The Incredibles 2 (2018)

90%. Like the 2004 version, good plot; good movie; good villan.

Toy Story 4 (2019)

88%. I didn't like or understand the ending at first but now I do. Nice ending to Toy Story but it did feel a little disapointing.

Onward (2020)

84%. It's OK but I do wish Ian got to see and speak with his Dad at the end of the movie. He'd gone so far to get to.

The Lion King (2019)

66%. Resembles the original too much and very dull at times.

Artemis Fowl (2020)

61%. Whilst this film is underrated, it takes out several scenes that should have been in there, leaves on a silly cliffhanger and has bad acting. Nice tech though.

Mulan (2020)

Haha just joking. I am NOT paying 30 quid to see this.

Illumination Entertainment section

Despicable Me (2010)

90%. Enjoyable movie with funny characters.

Hop (2011)

The Lorax (2012)

74%. Don't watch this too much.

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

89%. Another enjoyable movie with good ideas - the idea for purple Minions was great!

Minions (2015)

44%. Still won't explain what Minions are.

Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)

78%. Not like it's previous franchise films.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (2017)

95%. A very good musical movie. In my opinion, one of the best musicals of all time.

Superman II (1980)

90%. Much better moving with very good villans.

Superman III

62%. Stears clear of the first two and has a different love and a different main villan. No Lois Lane or Lex Luther, making the film complicated and very dissapointing. Leaves too much scenes out that should have been in.

Superman IV: The Quest For Peace

14%. Steering clear of the third, it has the same footage from the first two too much and bad acting from Lenny Luther as well as no real plot and the film is made irrelevant by the end of the film.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 (2011)

53%. More for girls and becomes too sad at the ending, regardless of whether you like Bella or not.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (2012)

69%. Most irrelevant one and the epic climax at the end being all but a vision ruined the movie entirely. I loath the ending as much as anyone for that. Still the best one though.
